Description

Sixty years ago, in the municipality of Tremp, Marina Teruel began her culinary journey with a small eatery. Over time, this business evolved into a hostal restaurant located on the outskirts of town, eventually transforming into the Hotel Lo Buenos we know today.

Currently, her three daughters, with Marina in the kitchen and Mar alongside Maribel attending to the diners, continue to run the family business, preserving the spirit and essence of Pallars.

Their restaurant stands out not only for its cuisine, which blends modern and traditional elements in a constant quest for innovation but also for its commitment to local products. Among their specialties are crispy mushrooms, Tavascán river trout stuffed with almonds, eggplant stuffed with lamb meat from the xisqueta breed, and chireta skewers with ratafia reduction and creamy Surp cheese.

To further enhance customer well-being, they took the initiative to address the acoustic problem in the spacious dining room.

The reverberation and echo produced by diners' conversations, background music, and other ambient noises became more noticeable when the space was fully occupied, especially during events and celebrations.

The goal was to ensure a completely comfortable experience for the customers.

Concept

Concept:
Solving the major problem of increased noise and reverberation in the hotel's main lounge
Client:
Hotel Lo Buenos
Location:
Tremp, Lérida

Solution

During our recent visit to the lounge of Hotel Lo Buenos, an exhaustive analysis of its dimensions and elements that can influence acoustics was carried out, such as floors, walls, ceilings, furniture, windows, doors, ventilation grilles, and lighting. Every detail was recorded to design a comprehensive solution that not only addressed the issue of echo and reverberation but also respected and complemented the aesthetics of the space.

During this visit, we worked closely with the client to discuss the hotel's decoration and branding colors, ensuring that our acoustic solutions harmoniously integrated with the existing design. This collaborative approach allowed us to thoroughly understand the client's aesthetic needs, ensuring that the intervention was not only functional but also visually appealing.

Back at the VisualPlanet – AiConnex offices, our engineering department dedicated itself to calculating the precise specifications of the necessary acoustic conditioning. Using advanced technologies, we created detailed plans and 3D rendered simulations to determine the optimal location and geometry of the acoustic panels on the ceiling, as well as the necessary treatment for one of the lounge's walls.

The result has been a resounding success. Not only have we eliminated noise and reverberation, significantly improving the sound quality in the lounge, but we have also elevated the space's aesthetics to a higher level. The implemented solutions integrate perfectly with the existing decoration, creating a harmonious and sophisticated environment.

This project demonstrates our ability to offer acoustic solutions that combine functionality and aesthetics, meeting the high expectations of our hotel industry clients. With this meticulous and personalized approach, VisualPlanet – AiConnex continues to consolidate itself as a leader in providing innovative and high-quality acoustic solutions for hotels and other commercial spaces.

3D acoustic study of the ceiling

According to the calculations made, the need to acoustically condition the ceiling and one of the walls of the lounge was determined.
The choice of the type of panel and the density of the raw material is crucial to absorb noise and reverberation in the frequency range that was affecting the space.
Using 3D rendering software, our engineering department simulated the acoustic conditioning, allowing the exact placement of each panel to achieve the goal with maximum efficiency.

Acoustic panels on the ceiling

The final result after placing the acoustic panels on the ceiling, according to the 3D study carried out, has not only managed to eliminate noise, reverberation, and echo but has also improved the aesthetics of the lounge.
The panels provide a avant-garde look that integrates perfectly with the existing decoration, elevating the acoustic and visual experience of the space, thus meeting the client's expectations.

3D acoustic study of the wall

Using 3D rendering software and precise acoustic calculations, the conditioning of one of the lounge's walls was optimized.
The use of vertical acoustic panels was considered to eliminate noise in low frequencies, also adjusting to the lounge's colors and decoration.
This solution not only significantly improves acoustics but also visually adapts to the environment, ensuring a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere.

Acoustic panels on the wall

After mounting the acoustic panels on the wall, as indicated by the 3D rendering software, the result has been excellent both aesthetically and acoustically.
These panels have managed to eliminate noise and reverberation, improving the sound quality in the lounge.
In addition, their design integrates perfectly with the existing decoration, adding a touch of elegance and modernity to the space.
